CARES - provides
a safe place for victims of domestic and sexual violence, a 24 hour hotline, court
and hospital accompaniment, counseling and support, legal advocacy and information
and referrals to community resources. All service to victims and their children
are free of charge.
Kid
CARES - providing
prevention programs with kids in area schools and trainings for faculty and staff,
hopefully moving one step closer to preventing out kids in our communities from
becoming the next generation of abusers and victims.
Hill
Country CARES serves
Kerr, Kendall, Gillespie and Bandera counties. We promote healthy relationships
and seek to prevent family violence, sexual crimes, abuse and neglect by working
with people at high risk of victimization and the perpetrators themselves. Several
divisions of HC CARES services fall under our umbrella:
Senior
CARES-
providing
services for caregivers, the elderly and those chronically ill with diseases such
as Alzheimer’s, diabetes, dementias, etc. offering support groups, referrals and
information to help improve the quality of their lives.

Recovery
CARES-
offers
persons with dual diagnosis an opportunity to enhance their recovery in both areas
of mental health and chemical dependency through education, support, and developing
an attitude of responsibility for self- management.
